Ptech Media recognizes your right to control your personal data. In compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), and TikTok Shop's Data Security & Privacy Review (DSPR) requirements, we provide clear, accessible mechanisms for you to exercise the following rights:
- Right to Erasure ("Right to Be Forgotten") — Request deletion of your personal data.
- Right to Access — Request a copy of data we hold about you.
- Right to Portability — Receive your data in a machine-readable format.
- Right to Rectification — Correct inaccurate information.
- Right to Restrict Processing — Limit how we use your data.
- Right to Object — Object to processing for marketing purposes.
Types of Data Requests
Full Account Deletion
Delete your Ptech Media account and all associated personal data, including profile information, connected marketplace data, order history, and API tokens. This action is irreversible.
Marketplace Disconnection
Revoke Ptech Media's access to a specific marketplace (e.g., TikTok Shop, Etsy, eBay). All cached data from that marketplace is deleted within 24 hours. Your Ptech Media account remains active.
Data Export Request
Request a complete export of all personal data we hold about you in a structured, machine-readable format (JSON/CSV), delivered within 30 days via encrypted download.
Data Correction Request
Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete personal information in your account profile or associated business details.
TikTok Shop Deauthorization & Automatic Data Deletion
When you revoke Ptech Media's access to your TikTok Shop account — either through your TikTok Shop seller account settings or by contacting us — our system automatically handles data cleanup as follows:
Automated Webhook Processing
Our platform is subscribed to TikTok Shop's authorization.removed webhook event. When TikTok notifies us of deauthorization, the following automated sequence is triggered:
Webhook Received
Our server receives the authorization.removed event from TikTok Shop. We acknowledge receipt with a 200 OK response within 3 seconds as required by TikTok's specifications.
Access Token Revocation
All stored OAuth access tokens and refresh tokens for the deauthorized TikTok Shop account are immediately invalidated and deleted from our encrypted token vault.
Within 1 hourCached Data Purge
All TikTok Shop marketplace data cached in our system (product listings, order data, inventory snapshots, customer shipping information) is permanently deleted from our databases and backups.
Within 24 hoursConfirmation Sent
A deletion confirmation email is sent to your registered email address, confirming that all TikTok Shop data has been successfully removed from our systems.

Method 1: In-Platform (Fastest)
Log in to your Ptech Media account and navigate to Settings → Privacy → Data & Deletion. You can initiate account deletion, marketplace disconnection, or data export directly from the dashboard.
Method 2: Email Request
Send your request to our Privacy Team:

- Type of request (deletion, export, correction, etc.)
- The specific data or account you are requesting action on
- Any relevant account identifiers (Shop ID, order numbers, etc.)

Upon a verified full account deletion request, we delete the following data:
- Your Ptech Media account profile (name, email, password hash, phone number)
- Business information (company name, address, website)
- All marketplace OAuth access tokens and refresh tokens
- Cached marketplace data (products, orders, inventory, analytics)
- TikTok Shop customer shipping information
- Payment method references (your payment processor handles card data separately)
- Support ticket history
- Usage logs and session data (after anonymization period)
- Marketing communication preferences
Exceptions & Legal Retention
Certain data may be retained after a deletion request for the following legally required purposes:
- Financial Records: Transaction records and invoices are retained for 7 years for tax and accounting compliance (US IRS requirements).
- Legal Claims: Data relevant to an ongoing legal dispute, investigation, or regulatory inquiry may be retained until the matter is resolved.
- Fraud Prevention: If your account was suspended for fraudulent activity, identifying information may be retained to prevent re-registration.
- Aggregated Analytics: Anonymized, non-personally identifiable usage statistics may be retained for platform improvement purposes.
Response Timeline
- GDPR (EEA / UK users): We respond within 30 days of a verified request. This may be extended by up to 2 months for complex requests with written notice.
- CCPA (California residents): We respond within 45 days of a verified request, with a possible 45-day extension with notice.
- TikTok Shop API data: Automatically deleted within 24 hours of deauthorization via webhook.
- Backups: Fully purged within 90 days of the initial deletion.
